Ramadan starts next week, so today is my last coffee for a while.

I am savoring it. Except if I savor too slowly it'll get cold.

Trans friends: Today, and every day, know that I see you and I value you and I will do what I can to support you. Whether you're out to me or not, I only want for you to be safe and happy.

Dear trans friends, today I wish that you have exactly the level of visibility that you want and need so that you can be safe, powerful, and bold. #TransDayOfVisiblity

My new novel, NON-PLAYER CHARACTER, is now live on Kickstarter!

Support a portal fantasy adventure with all-queer main characters where a TTRPG group of nerds in their 30s are transported to the world of their game.

Rewards include a playable TTRPG!

Boosts extremely welcome.

Good news! My wife and I were vaccinated yesterday (the single-dose version, too, so we're done).

Bad news: I am fine but my wife is currently under the covers in bed with a low grade fever, joint aches, and chills, so, uh, watch those side effects, folks.

Tonight's baking: a cream-filled cake for my wife's birthday. The hardest part will be not eating any until the actual celebration. :)

Yes, of course I am making hush puppies with the leftover dredging supplies.

Oh hi!

I wrote a dark but sweet fantasy novel of libraries and necromancy.

It would be amazing if you shared this post around.

It's too early and I didn't get enough sleep, but at least I have fancy cannoli whipped cream to put in my coffee.

I am back home. Doctor thinks my achy/numb toe is due to RSI in my foot, which is weird and strange to me.

Next step: find a podiatrist.

Currently in the waiting room at the doctor's office. Everyone is masked but I am still quite anxious about how close together people are. Social distancing still matters!

We are heading upstate on a ski trip tomorrow, so today is laundry and packing and making bagels for snacks on the trip and where did my son leave his snow pants and.... Ugh, only 5pm and already so tired.

And the bagels still need to proof for four hours!

It's sourdough pretzel time! Or it will be in an hour when they've finished rising, anyway.

Bad news everyone. I'm sorry to announce this, but.... coffee is broken. It's just not doing the job anymore.

"average writer publishes 3 books a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average author publishes 0 books per year. Brandon Sanderson, who lives in cave & writes over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Okay, this blizzard in Brooklyn is pretty serious. I'm considering cancelling my commute and working from upstairs instead of the basement. :)

Seriously, though, anybody in the US northeast, take care and be safe.
